Arabesk, } ar -a-besk, { a after the manner of the ornamentation in favour among the Arabians, and which, religiously excluding animal forms, consisted of painted or inlaid delineations of imaginary intertwined foliage, stalks, plants, and geometrical figures: s. an ornament executed in the arabesque style: v.a. to ornament with arabesque.
