Gondola

a Venetian boat. A gondola of middle size is 30 feet long, 4 feet beam, and is rowed by one man, known as a gondolier, standing at the stern and using one oar, or by two men, one at each end, each using a single oar. It has seats amidships, some of which have covers. In Venice, they are all painted black.
