Lithium

—A silvery white metal, melting at 370° Fahr. It is the lightest solid known, its specific gravity being 0.59 or 36.7 pounds to a cubic foot. It resembles sodium and pota ium, and is a widely distributed element, occurring in sea water, mineral springs, tobacco ash, etc.
