(ta'lus.) [ Lat.] (Anat.) The astragalus, one of the bones of the ankle.-(Geol.) The accumulation of fragments at the foot of a steep rock, more or le filling up the angle.- (Fort.) The slope of a work, as that of a bastion, rampart, or parapet. [s. 877]
