Intellect

Cognitive side of consciousne ; thinking part of mind, as contrasted with the emotional and volitional; means by which we remember, reproduce, compare, exercise judgment, and reason. Various attempts have been made to cla ify the powers of the intellect; e.g., memory, reason, and imagination, or discrimination, retentivene , and similarity; but none are satisfactory.
