Hull, William

Ct., 1753-1825. A famous general court-martialed in 1812 for his surrender of Detroit to the English. His defence of his action appears in his book, The Campaign of the Northwest Army (1824). See Life by Maria Campbell and James Freeman Clarke (1848).
