Josiah

(jo-si'ah.) (Script.) A king of Judah, s. his father Amon, 641 B. c., at the age of 8 years. He was an able and pious prince; reigned 31 years, and was killed in a battle against Pharaoh-Necho,king of Egypt, abt. 610 B. c. [s. 507]
