Lep to meningitis

(lep-to-men-in-ji' -tis). Inflammation of the pia and arachnoid of the brain and the spinal cord, in contradistinction to Pachymeningitis, though meningitis alone usually signifies the same as lep to meningitis. See Meningitis . L. cerebral is, an inflammation confined usually to the pia of the convex surface of an anterior lobe of the cerebrum. L., Cerebro-spinal, an inflammation of the pia of the brain and cord. L. spinal is, an inflammation of the pia of the spinal cord. L., Tuberculous, an inflammation of the pia due to the presence of the tubercle-bacillus. Leptcmeninx (lep-to-men' -ingks) The pia or the arachnoid; in the plural (lep to meninges), usually the arachnoid and pia taken together.
