Berlin, of Liverpool Harmonic Society, of Or che sterve rein at Breslau; married singer Emma Tuczek 1881; came to America 1883, brought out Arm in i us at Boston by Cecilia Society. Has composed several cantatas of epic nature, Ody eus Arm in i us, AchiUeus, FrUhjofj his Fair Ellen a favorite with choral societies; songs; 4 vln. concertos, of which the 1st, in G, is very popular; pieces for ’cello (notably Kot Nidrei a Hebrew melody).
