(Lat.), n. f. Mar-tian'i1'-a>. From Martyn, Profe or of Botany in Cambridge University, England. Fr., martynie. A genus of glandular-hirsute pedahaceous herbs found in tropical America, constituting Link's Martyniacece (a suborder of the Person at i). The Martynice of Rilling are a division of the Ringentes.
