LEUCOCYTE

n. Lu2'ko-sit. Fr., 1. Ger., L. It., leucocito. A general term for amoeboid or lymphoid cells wherever found, but sometimes especially applied to lymph-cells outside the blood vascular system, also to the white blood-corpuscles.
