CAMERAL IS TICS

(Lat. camera, a chamber.) A word that has recently been introduced into the English language to signify the science of public finance. It is of German origin (the equivalent term in that language being Rammer alien), and derives its signification from certain officers (called Kammerrathe) appointed by most of the petty princes of Germany to superintend their accounts, and disburse all payments.
