Arbutin

(ar'-bu-tin), A bitter glucosid obtained from Uva ursi, or bearberry. It is neutral, crystalline, and resolvable into glucose and hydro quin on. Arbutin is an efficient diuretic. Dose gr. xv— xxx. See Uva ursi.
