(sim-c-se-fu'gah.) [L. cimex, a bug, and fugo, to drive away; alluding to its offensive odor.] (Bot.) The Bugbane, a gen. of plants,O. Ranunculacere. The species C. racemosa, the black-snake-root or bug wort of America, has inconspicuous flowers arranged in a terminal panicle, and is extremely fœtid. [s. 188]
