Momentum

—The quantity of motion of a moving body, obtained by multiplying the ma of the body by its velocity. Momentum might also be defined as numerically equivalent to the number of pounds of force that will stop a moving body in one second or the number of pounds of force which, acting during one second, will give it a given velocity.
