(Gr. t^vOgos, red.) All rashes, as they are commonly called, and redne es of the skin, attended by marked constitutional affection, and very mild forms of erysipelas, come under this denomination. ERYTHRIC ACID, applied by Brugnatelli to a red substance obtained by the action of nitric on uric acid. [s. 430]
