Telescope

An optical instrument used in viewing distant objects, for searching country to find distant signaling stations, for reading flag or lamp signals at a greater distance than can be read with the naked eye, and for scouting purposes generally. The telescope is used for direot laying when great accuracy is required. Two adjustments, focu ing of the eye-piece and the objective, are usually nece ary.
