Rennet

(rčn'nit,) or RUN'NET. [ From A.S. gerunnen, to make thick.] The liquor prepared by steeping the inner membrane of a calf's stomach in water; or the membrane itself:-either is used in the coagulation of milk, or converting it into curd in cheese-making. [s. 762]
