Garotte , gar-rot′, n. a Spanish mode of strangling criminals.— v.t. to strangle by a bra collar tightened by a screw, whose point enters the spinal marrow: to suddenly render insensible by semi-strangulation, and then to rob:— pr.p. garrott′ing, garott′ing; pa.p. garrott′ed, garott′ed. — ns.
