In Logic. A universal proposition Is that which has the subject distributed, so that the predi cate is declared concerning every thing comprehended in it; e.g., "All men (subject) are mortal (predicate)." In j universal negative propositions the predicate is distributed also; e. g., " No men are immortal." [s. 1298]
