UNIVERSAL

In Logic. A universal proposition is that which has the subject distributed, so that the predicate is declared concerning every thing comprehended in it; e.g. "All men (subject) are mortal (jiredicate)." In universal negative prepositions the predicate is distributed also; e. g. " No men are immortal." [s. 1288]
