(lep-to-men-in-ji’tis),n. [ to meninges + -it is. Cf. meningitis.] In pathol., inflammation of the pia mater and arachnoid. Leptome ria (lep-to-mé’ri-&), ». [NL. (R. Brown, 1810), so called from the small delicate Long-legged Spider-crab (Lep to podia sagitta ria). flowers; ¢ Gr. Aexr6c, small, slender, + pépoc, a part.] A genus of dicotyledonous apetalous genus of spider-crabs, founded by Leach in plants, of the natural order Santa lace and tribe 1814. They have a small triangular body with a long Osyridee, with minute hermaphrodite flowers acute rostrum, and extremely long, slender legs.
