Style of wood carving especially common among the Germans IMG:content-1108.jpg:[graphic] IMG:content-1109.jpg:[graphic] of the later 15th and the 16th centuries, used to fill panels. The name came from its resemblance to a napkin closely folded in convolutions. Sometimes called the napkin pat tern.
