(brlts dis-ez’) [Bright, an English physician]. A term applied to any disease of the kidney a ociated with albuminuria. Acute Bright’s Disease, an acute inflammation of the kidney; it may be parenchymatous, interstitial, or diffuse. Chronic Bright’s Disease, a chronic inflammation of the kidney, affecting the parenchyma, the connective ti ue, or both. Amyloid degeneration is also considered a chronic form of Bright’s disease.
