Grayling

(Zool.) A fresh-water fish, of the Sal monidæ family, in many respects very similar in its habits to the trout, delighting in clear rapid streams, and swimming with rapidity. It inhabits the northern rivers of Europe and Asia, and has been found in America in the cold clear waters of Great Bear and Winter lakes.
