Ground cake of flaxseed after the oil has been expre ed. Two kinds are known. The one (old proce ) is made from seed from which the fat has been extracted by pre ure, the other (new proce ) from seed from which the fat has been extracted by treatment with gasoline or some other solvent. The former is much richer in fat than the latter. Both make a palatable fodder, rich in protein matter.
