Hasty pudding

A pudding made of four stirred in boiling milk or water till it becomes stiff; the term is also sometimes applied to oatmeal -porridge. (England.) "Sure hasty- pudding is thy chiefest dish." - Lord Dorset. -Mush, or a thick batter-pudding made by mixing Indian meal with boiling water. (U. States.)
